Where the Wild Things Are

This summer I found some cool pictures of Mason from a few years ago doing his famous door climbing. The book Where the Wild Things are is one of our favorites and it was my inspiration in creating this layout. He reminds me so much of Max . My sons imagination is truely amazing and I sometimes forget to appreciate him for that. I am very excited to take him to see the movie when it comes out it looks wonderful! We went to see Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs yesterday it was a great movie and very funny we laughed all the way through. Last night we watched Monsters Vs. Aliens and that was hysterical ...it was a big movie Saturday for us. Today I did some Halloween decorating indoors it came out so cute , it gets me into a spooky mood lol. I love the cosmo cricket spinner I used in my layout .. love their products and super excited to get their new fall line Nutmeg . I am also in love with Websters Pages lately their paper is absolutely gorgeous! Gotta check it out. Well making a nice Sunday spaghetti dinner and then good shows tonight. Have a great week ! Happy October and stay healthy!!! Oh posted some pictures of Mason playing soccer he rocks!

Getting back in the groove

Well last week was the first full week of school and work. It feels great to be back to work I had been out since December of 2008. The routines are getting into swing and we are all so tired and the kids have already come down with their first cold. I hope as the weeks go by things will get easier, but for now we are all doing our best. I love the fall weather and crisp air, and looking forward to all of the great fall activities that Upstate New York has to offer. The hot air balloon festival is coming up next weekend and apple picking is one of our favorite things to do. I cant believe we are almost done with September, then Halloween will be coming up. Mason is playing fall soccer and it is so fun to watch. I did this cute butterfly layout of Mason in the butterfly garden at our favorite pumpkin patch I hope the weather is as nice this year. We are excited about hayrides, pumpkins, and corn mazes. I think the pictures of Chey and Mason on their first day of school are sweet , where does the time go ? They are getting so big and I want them to stay little forever lol. Well I will post some fun goodies I have found and more layouts soon! Enjoy the gorgeous fall weather!

Fall is in the air

Well its Labor Day which is officially fall in my book even though it is still technically summer. I love fall... the sights, the smells, there is alot of fun things to look forward to. The colors are gorgeous and the decor really gets me into fall mode. This layout was inspired by a picture of my son Mason on a wonderful hayride we enjoyed last fall. I remember how perfect that day was I can't wait to post more photos of our trip to the pumkin patch. I am trying to take better pictures of my layouts so bear with me this is all a learning experience. I cut out the owl from a Pink Paislee paper from the Vintage Moon collection. Then i took a piece of fall pattern paper and made it into a die cut sheet. Tattered Angels glimmer mist in pumpkin pie was sprayed on a vintage bingo card and on a cardboard die cut for the journaling. Love the alpha framed font(Tattered Angels) sprayed with riptide, candlelight, and pumpkin pie glimmer mist , its hard to see the gorgeous embossing on it but it has different patterns on each piece. For added texture i used some burlap fabric and some cute glitter leaves. I cant wait to do some more fun fall projects and tackle the upcoming back to school photos! Have a great night and thanks for looking !

The completed cruise album

Take me on a sea cruise Tattered Angels travel album.
Used so many fun papers then sanded and inked each one.

Glimmer mist sprayed over a Heidi Swapp mask to make this design.

Great summer beach papers and a cute making memories tags.
I think the palm tree is fabulous.

Just the ocean paper and picture with a little quote so simple.

This page is my favorite I used page from an old Peter
Pan book. The picture of Mason is priceless. He is the
cutest pirate I have ever seen.

I sprayed this page with sherbert glimmer mist and sprayed an alpha chip with sherbert and dreamsicle. So pretty!
The orange and pink are a perfect color combination.

Fun Disney paper and embellishments after all it is a Disney cruise.
I love how the paper has a vintage cartoon look remeinds me of the
first Mickey. The inking and sanding on the paper makes it pop.

The orange side was sprayed with dreamsicle glimmer mist on a Heidi swapp dot mask. Sea glass glimmer mist was used on a Heidi
Swapp invisibles chipboard butterfly. I cut a Melissa Frances fresh
twist journaling spot in half to put on each side of the photo.

I love how the Tattered Angels glimmer screen looks with the picture
in the center. Sand and pumpkin pie were the colors of glimmer mist
used to make this page. A maya road ticket was added with a
chipboard clock to repeat the clock theme.

Sand and creme de cocoa glimmer mist sprayed were used to make
the compass along with a Tattered Angels compass stamp. Also I
sprayed the calling card with a little sand spray for a hint of color.

This album was so much fun to make and I spent alot of time creating it. It helped me to remember what we did on the cruise and I hope my children will never forget it. I can't seem to get enough of the glimmer mist it is so easy to use , and the possibilities are endless. I recommend it highly if you have never tried it and if you have dont be afraid to try using it different ways! Its a gorgeous day here , hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Time to say goodbye to summer

It is always sad to see summer come to an end. The kids go back to school , I go back to work , and the routines and schedules are back in full force. Some of my favorite things about this summer have been ... lots of cookouts, my son's first camping trip, going to North Pole, New York to visit Santa, hours of swimming and sun(spf too lol), flip flops, warm nights, ice cream, great quality family time, staying up late, watching the fireflies, picnics and the Fourth of July, seeing great friends, and the list goes on. This layout I made last week from a great photo of my daughter from our trip to Virginia Beach last summer it was amazing there. I used a few different Tattered Angels glimmer mists in sea glass, garden fairy, sweet pea, and dreamsicle. The glimmer chips are a nice touch, as well as a calendar card from Jenni Bowlin, prima flowers, a Heidi Swapp ghost butterfly with the edges painted and a great piece of cardboard to layer. I love the colors together so perfect for a beach picture. I cant get enough of the Tim Holtz tickets they are super cute! Tonight is soccer practice for Mason, then maybe I can have some scrapbooking time tonight. Fall is on its way and there are so many fun things to do , great projects to be made, and memories to remember , I can't wait.

Tattered Angels glimmer glass album

This album was inspired by my beautiful daughter and of course the Tattered Angels super cute glimmer glass album. I used sweet pea glimmer mist on every page and tried to add different elements to each one like book pages sprayed with glimmer mist or some Heidi Swapp invisibles chipboard sprayed as well. Even calendar cards from Jenni Bowlin or vintage looking flashcards can add great detail to any project. You can use alot or a little its fun to see the results and to experiment a little. This album was really fun to make and I think the creative possibilities are endless all you need is some inpsiration. Oh and dont be afraid to use what you have on hand already .. an old book that has already been read (or is in bad condition) or cardboard from a box or packing from a great scrapbook embellishment these can make your scrapbooking really pop! Have a great day and happy September !

The Story Of Us

I recently celebrated my 14th wedding anniversary in July and this fun layout was inspired by leftover toille fabric that had been used in a home decor project. I also did a pink and gray wedding page with some pictures from our wedding. The vintage look is easily achieved with a Jenni Bowlin bingo card, calendar card, and adorable chipboard buttons. Crepe paper is always a fun addition to a scrapbook page and if you dont happen to have any on hand a great place to find it is at the local dollar store. Tim Holtz tickets always add a great touch as well I also like to spray them with Tattered Angels glimmer mist to add a great color and sparkle. I am so blessed to be married to such an amazing man! Have a wonderful evening.
